Introduction: In addition to the symptoms, symptoms of catatonia have been classified as a subtype schizophrenia (catatonic schizophrenia). Material method: The aim study review current research on field of: main, leading catatonia, neuroimaging, immunology, methods treatment psychoactive compounds, COVID-19, therapy pediatric geriatric patients. article reviews papers from 2014-2022 interest PubMed Google Scholar databases. Results: Studies showing prevalence approximately 10.6 cases per 100,000 tax recipients. assessment individual catatonias varies depending criteria. Deep vein embolism confirmed 25.3% patients with cardiac catatonia. Conclusions: common neuropsychiatric significantly prolongs hospitalization time. Additional studies using technique functional neuroimaging brain are needed. Effects effect zolpidem, memantine, amantadine augmentation amisulpiride.
